Your first day in Delhi will start with a visit to the famous Qutub Minar, the monumental tower which has an interesting history to read about. The next destination will be lunch at Khan Market which will be followed by a visit to Lotus Temple and then Humayun’s tomb, the inspiration to the creation of Taj Mahal. The day will end on Presidential Street and a visit to the India Gate.
On your second day in Delhi, you will experience the Old Delhi culture in the streets of Jama Masjid. Starting by witnessing the Red Fort, you will relish the exquisite food offered in Parantha Waali Gali. Next, you must visit the Raj Ghat, the memorial of Gandhi Ji, Father of the Nation. Later in the evening, a visit to the magnificent Akshardham Temple is a must.
The next destination is Agra. You can take an early morning train to Agra. The first point to visit in the city will be Taj Mahal. Witness the architectural marvel which is also the memorial of King Shah Jahan and his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. After visiting the Taj Mahal, take a cab to the Agra Fort and appreciate the cultural heritage. The next destination will be Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Spend the rest of your afternoon there and return to Agra to take an evening train to Jaipur.
On your first day in Jaipur, visit the local architectural marvels such as Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and City Palace. You will find an extensive variety of restaurants offering Rajasthani cuisine around every landmark monument to satisfy your hunger and give you the experience of one of the finest cuisines of India.
On your second go “Fort-seeing” to Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort. Remember to take a tour guide with you around the forts for an enriching experience while also gaining knowledge about the historical significance of the forts. After “Fort-seeing”, you wouldn’t want to miss the majestic view of the Jal Mahal, around which you would find a variety of eateries to relish.
Take the morning train back to Delhi and satisfy your shopping desires in Dilli Haat, where you will get to experience all cultures of India and find items from different parts of the country. Get back to your hotel for the evening and relax yourselves for your journey ahead.
